Certification Requirements
In the state of Oregon, Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are certified through the Oregon State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
Certification Requirements include:
- Transcripts showing 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours of speech-language pathology technical coursework
- Transcripts showing 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours of general education credit
- Written evidence of 100 clock hours of clinical interaction

After you connect to the Oregon State Board of Examiner's Web site find the "Rules/Statutes" link. From there, choose the "Oregon State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology" link. Choose "Division 95" for Speech Language Pathology Assistant information.
