Allyson Pineau
Plaza Suite Director
Originally
from Seattle, Allyson is currently a theater education major
at Western Oregon University. Allyson has been seen locally in
Fuddy Meers and Id (at WOU) and in Crimes of
the Heart at Chemeketa.
She has also worked “behind the scenes” as a director,
stage manager, and crew person on numerous shows. She will be
working backstage on another show the weekend after Heart & Music closes.

Braden
Pineau
as Borden
Originally from Alaska,
Braden now lives in Dallas where he works as an apprentice glass
glazier. He has been seen on stage locally as Michael Kelly in
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 at Chemeketa and has worked
backstage on a number of other shows. He enjoys golf, basketball,
and playing the bass guitar.

Jim Schroeder
as Roy Hubley
Jim
is currently a resident of Dallas and works as a project manager
for Willamette Broadband. Previous roles include Captain Fisher
in Teahouse of the Moon and Humphrey Bogart in Play
It Again, Sam. Jim is originally from Davenport, Iowa.

Emily
Senter
as Mimsey Hubley
A Salem native, Emily
has been seen locally in Arsenic and Old Lace, Lost in Yonkers, and Cheaper
by The Dozen. She will be involved in Chemeketa’s
upcoming production of Arsenic and Old Lace as an assistant
costumer. In addition to drama, Emily enjoys painting.

Bonnie Stephenson
as Norma Hubley
Bonnie
is returning to the stage after a ten-year hiatus from theater.
(Her hope is that the principle of bike-riding applies to acting.)
Past local productions have included Tons of Money (for which
she won an award for most promising actress); Rain, The Story
of Sadie Thompson (for which she won an award for best actress
of the year); and Painted Ponies. When she is not on stage, the
Stayton resident works as public relations and professional development
specialist for Chemeketa.

Ara Andrea
Ensemble, Dancer
Originally from
Illinois, Ara is now a forest resources technology instructor
at Chemeketa. As she herself puts it, “In my younger,
more musical years, I served as an accompanist and alto singer
with the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra.” Ara
also appeared as Yente in a Marion High School production
of Fiddler on the Roof “a few years back” and
is a member of Chemeketa’s Staff Chorus.

Jae Ann Atwood
Keyboards
Jae
Ann was born in Salt Lake City but now calls Keizer home. She
is a pianist with the Salem Pops Orchestra and has also played
for local productions of Into The Woods and Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Pentacle Theatre. When she’s not
working her magic at a keyboard, Jae Ann works as an accountant
with the Salem firm of Hoots, Weyant, Baker & Wiley, P.C.

Dennis Bierman
Percussion
Dennis
has worked with the Pentacle Theatre, the Salem Pops, the Keizer
Community Band, and the Keizer Community Stage Band. He is the
percussion section leader in the 104th Division Band, U.S. Army
Reserve, and has performed with Oregon and Arizona National Guard
bands. He also performs regularly at the Grand Vines in Salem.
Dennis and his wife, Janet, are the franchise owners of Mrs.
Fields Cookies, Pretzelmaker, and TCBY located in the Lancaster
Mall.

Judy Dyer
Ensemble, Musical Director
Judy
works at Chemeketa as a chorus/music instructor and also generously
donates her time as director of Chemeketa’s Staff Chorus.
She has sung leading roles in Die Fledermaus, Cosi Fan Tutti,
Sweetwater Affair, and numerous musicals. She sang the lead soprano
role for the premiere of Dave Brubeck’s La Fiesta De
La Posada with the Omaha Symphony.

Emily Eikleberry
Ensemble, Dancer
A resident
of Silverton,Emily works as a math teacher at McKay High School
in Salem. She appeared in two shows during Chemeketa’s
2002–2003 season: Crimes of the Heart (as Lenny) and Hello,
Dolly! (as a waiter). She also appeared this past summer in Pentacle
Theatre’s production of Oliver! and is slated to appear
in Pentacle’s semi-staged production of The Music Man in
2004.

Jane Evans
Ensemble, Dancer
Jane has appeared locally in Die Fledermaus singing the
role of Rosalinda and as a guest vocalist with the Salem Pops
Orchestra
and the Salem Concert Band. She has served as musical director
for a number of Pentacle Theatre productions, including South
Pacific and West Side Story. She will sing the role
of Marian in Pentacle’s production of The Music Man this
coming January.

Benjamin Farmer

Ben
has been seen in a number of Chemeketa productions including
Hello, Dolly! and Crimes of The Heart. He will
also be appearing later this season as Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic
and Old Lace at Chemeketa. Other local shows include Oliver! and several holiday
productions. Ben has also been cast in The Music Man at Pentacle
Theatre. His theatrical dream? To someday play Hamlet.

Danielle
Fleming
Ensemble, Dancer
Danielle easily wins
the “furthest drive to rehearsal” award for making
the trek to Salem from her home in Aloha. She has appeared in
Portland-area shows including Choices, Quilters, and The
Choice. Danielle currently serves as the assistant musical director for
the Portland-based performance group Shout-Out! and appears with
the group as part of their One World, One Voice show.

Genuser
Ensemble, Dancer, Revue Director
Mat
was a member of the 1998 national touring company of Bye Bye
Birdie and has been seen locally in Tony ‘n’ Tina’s
Wedding, Grease, Once Upon a Mattress, and When You Wish
Upon a Star. He was also involved in musical theater in his native
state of California. He is currently completing a degree in American
Sign Language at WOU and works for Chemeketa as a training and
employment specialist.

Tia Luber

Our
youngest cast member, Tia is currently a junior at Sprague High
School where she is very involved in music performance and theater.
Most recently, she appeared as Minnie Fay in Chemeketa’s
production of Hello, Dolly! Other show credits include The
Wizard of Oz and Guys and Dolls. She has also appeared in numerous shows
at Flinn’s Living History Dinner Theater in Albany.

Laurie Miller
Ensemble
Laurie,
currently a resident of Silverton, most recently has been seen
as Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi in Chemeketa’s production
of Hello, Dolly! She has also appeared in The Sound of Music and The
Good Doctor. Laurie represented Marion County this year
in the statewide talent competition at the Oregon State Fair
where she placed second. In mid-December she will appear in Silverton’s
production of The Forgotten Carols as nurse Constance Chamberlain.

Dee Montgomery-Smith
Ensemble, Choreographer, Dancer
Dee
is a faculty member at Chemeketa, where she has been teaching
dance and physical education courses for more than 20 years.
She’s well known to the Salem community for her work as
a freelance choreographer and has been involved in high school,
college, and community theater productions far too numerous to
mention. She will serve as choreographer for the spring musical
at Chemeketa, Bye Bye Birdie.

Doug Moxley

Doug
has appeared locally in Pentacle Theatre productions including
West Side Story, The Pirates of Penzance, and When
You Wish Upon a Star. He also appeared as Harold Hill in
Chemeketa’s
2001 production of The Music Man and has worked with The
Broadway Rose Theatre Company in Portland. Doug works at Chemeketa
as
an administrator and is also a member of the college’s
Staff Chorus.

Bob Myer
Ensemble, Dancer
Bob
works as a heavy equipment operator at Valley Concrete and Gravel
in Independence. He has been seen locally in The Music Man and
Hello, Dolly! at Chemeketa and, most recently, in Oliver! at
the Pentacle Theatre. His next project will be Pentacle’s
January fundraising production of The Music Man. Bob’s
love of theater is best summed up in his own words: “This
is truly one of my favorite joys in life--to sing and act
and to make people happy.”

Ray Phipps
Ensemble
Ray
will be familiar to Chemeketa theatergoers as Tevye in the 2002
production of Fiddler on the Roof. He has also been active in
productions in Albany, including Auntie Mame, South Pacific,
Cinderella, The Crucible, and Show Boat. Ray recently entered,
as he calls it, “semi-retirement” after 20 years
as an administrative staff member at Chemeketa and is looking
forward to auditioning for more shows in the area.

Sandee Schaddock
Ensemble, Musical Director
Originally
from Pennsylvania, Sandee currently teaches voice, piano, and
music literature at Chemeketa. She is also the director of the
Salem Women’s Chorus. Sandee has sung major roles in numerous
musical theater and opera productions, including Fiddler on
the Roof, Man of La Mancha, Cosi Fan Tutti, and H.M.S.
Pinafore. She has served as music director for nearly 20 productions, including
a number staged at Chemeketa and Pentacle Theatre.

Judith Schaub
Piano, Rehearsal Accompanist
Judith
is a talented pianist who has worked on numerous musical productions
in the Salem area at McKay High School, Willamette University,
and Chemeketa. She is “quasi-retired” and owns an
antique business locally. She is also an accomplished organist
and a piano teacher. You may also have seen (or heard) Judith
playing seasonal music at a Salem department store or shopping
center during the holidays.

Ruby Sue Whittley
Ensemble
When
she’s not working as a science teacher at Waldo Middle
School, Ruby Sue enjoys attending--as well as performing
in--a wide range of theater productions. She has been seen
at Chemeketa in The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, and Hello,
Dolly! and has also performed at Albany Civic Theater in Our
Town and I Can’t Hear You When The Water Is Running, where
she was presented with an Actress of the Year award for her performances.

Barbara Cowlishaw
Production Assistant
Originally from Los
Angeles, Barbara now lives in Salem and works at Chemeketa where
she is an administrative assistant in the president's office.
Barbara's organizational skills have been put to good use during
the planning and execution of this event: she has organized details
for the silent auction, kept track of ticket sales, proofread
show materials, and offered a helping hand with the plethora
of details that a show of this size generates. Barbara also sings
with Chemeketa's Staff Chorus and is currently working to complete
a degree is business administration.

Hollinrake
Stage Manager, Costumer
Bonique
is currently a student at Chemeketa and also works as a barista
at the Governor's Cup in Salem. She has worked on a number of
productions at McNary High School in Keizer, including Richard
III (in the role of Buckingham) and South Pacfic (as the show's
stage manager).

Terry Rohse
Technical Director
Terry
is the technical director and technical theater instructor for
Chemeketa Community College and McNary High School. Previously,
he served as the first "post-renovation" technical director for
The Historic Elsinore Theatre where he worked with such personalities
as Gregory
Peck,
Bernadette Peters,
Judy
Collins, and Hal Holbrook. He has produced, designed, and/or
appeared in 11 Shakespeare productions at the Elsinore and McNary
theaters. He has designed sets and lighting for many many shows
over the
years, but says that working at Chemeketa
and McNary have been his most rewarding experiences.
