DOUG MOXLEY
(Professor Harold Hill)Doug has lived in Salem most of his life, being a "California transplant" at age 4. He works at Chemeketa Community College as a Special Projects Coordinator and has literally been there since graduating from high school. Favorite roles include Tony in West Side Story and Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress. He has also been seen locally in The Pirates of Penzance and the Disney revue When You Wish Upon a Star.
"Thanks to my loving and supportive partner and to my 'Chemeketa family' for their continued support/tolerance of my musical theater habit. Also, to two ladies whose coaching, coaxing, and support gave me the courage to even attempt singing in public: Judy Dyer and Sandee Schaddock."
JULIE TOURTELOTTE
(Marian Paroo)Another native Californian, Julie was born in Whittier and grew up in Santa Barbara. She has lived in Pratum since 1984 and works at Pratum School where she teaches grades 6 through 8 and teaches music for grades 3 through 8. Favorite roles include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Jenny in Quilters, and Tuptim in The King and I. She was a member of the Portland Opera Chorus from 1992 to 1999 where she performed in numerous productions including Rigoletto, Der Rosenkavalier, and Turandot.

TIM KELLEY II
(Marcellus Washburn)Tim was born, raised, and still lives in Silverton. He has been seen in numerous productions including The Mousetrap (as Christopher Wren), The Wizard of Oz (as The Cowardly Lion), Alice in Wonderland (as Mock Turtle), Hello, Dolly! (as Rudolph Riesenweber), The Miracle Worker (as Jimmie Sullivan) and others.
"Thanks to my 'Cheer Team' Tim and April Kelley for being the best parents a boy could ask for. Laura Elena Whittier whom encouraged me to explore my passions. Amy and Mike White for all the extra support over the years. Brace Lagenwalter and Shane Knox for teaching me the ways of the 'Force.' My two adorable sons Justin Taylor Brant and Dane Owen. Jason Martin, Jay Yochem, Adam Cocker, Jesse Moore, Matt Schaffer, Jennifer Gibson, Jeanie Bergamo, Beau DeSantis, Angela Buccelato and Jeff Bader. You guys make it happen!"
MARTIN EMRY
(Mayor Shinn)Born in Bellingham, Washington, Martin now lives in Monmouth. If he looks familiar, you may have seen him on stage, but it's also possible he's cleaned your carpet--he the owner and operator of Carpet Hero Carpet Cleaning. This is Martin's second time playing Mayor Shinn, the first being twelve years ago at Western Oregon University. He has also been seen in The Diary of Adam and Eve, The Pirates of Penzance, and in numerous musical revues and melodramas.
"My daughter Brianne (Ethel Toffelmier in this show) and I have enjoyed working together in several shows, starting when she was 11. This is our fifth show together."

KENDALL BUCKMASTER
(Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn)Originally from Pleasant Hill, California, Kendall now lives in Keizer and works as a bilingual teacher of first grade at Richmond Elementary School. Favorite roles include Gloria Upson in Mame and numerous roles in Free to Be You and Me (including a grandmother, a first basewoman, a poet, and a vocalist).
"Thanks to my husband, Wade, for his patience and support and to my parents for their continued support and for coming up to Oregon to see me in this show! And a special 'thank you' to Ted for seeing the Eulalie in me before I could see it in myself."
SHEILA SUND, M.D.
(Mrs. Paroo)A genuine "Valley Girl," Sheila was born in Encino, California, and currently lives in Salem where she is the Medical Director for Willamette Valley Hospice. She was most recently seen as Heliotrope in Pentacle Theatre's production of The Pirates of Penzance and has extensive musical theater experience, including roles in My Fair Lady, Pippin, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, Brigadoon, and The Sound of Music.

NICK HILL
(Winthrop Paroo)The Music Man is Nick's theatrical debut. He is currently a student at Auburn Elementary School in Salem.

ROBERT REMPEL
(Charlie Cowell)Robert is a native of Salem and currently works as a Senior Programmer Analyst at SAIF Corporation. He has been seen locally in numerous shows at the Salem First Nazarene Church, including The Victor, Women at the Well, and Shepherd's Story. He is also an active member of the Salem Savoyards, and Alliance Repertory Theatre of Salem. With the Savoyards he has performed in HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury. With ARTS he has performed in Away with the Manger and An Evening of Improv.

TREVOR BRANDT
(Tommy Djilas)Trevor is a native of Salem where he is currently attending Chemeketa Community College taking transfer courses. He works at Suncoast Video as a "video guy."
Other theatrical roles include Office O'Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Hanz Metz in Frankenstein, Howie the Milkman in Our Town, and four roles in Spoon River Anthology.
SYDNEY EUSTROM
(Zaneeta Shinn)Born in Tarzana, California, Sydney currently lives in Salem where she is working and taking classes at Chemeketa. She plans to pursue a formal education in the performing arts and has been seen locally in roles at South Salem High School, including Noises Off, The Imaginary Invalid, The Comedy of Errors, The Dining Room, and Thunder on Sycamore Street.

(Amaryllis/Child)Born in Eugene, Oregon, Shelby now makes her home in Silverton where she is a student at Robert Frost Elementary School. Shelby has also been seen in Treasure Island; Sleeping Beauty; Hansel and Gretel; What, No Santa Claus?; I Like Being Myself; and The Wizard of Oz.
"Thanks to my voice and piano teacher,Sharon Bartsch, for all her encouragement,and that she has always said that all kids can sing. Also many thanks to Caren Jensen, Director of Willamette Girlchoir, for making music more important in my life. And to my mother, Alice Wright, for always bringing me to everything. BRIANNE EMRY
(Ethel Toffelmier, Marian Paroo Understudy)Brianne lives in Monmouth where she is a junior at Central High School. She started acting at age 11 and has been seen locally in Miss Mella's Drama Theatre as well as in productions at Central High School and Pentacle Theatre. She has also appeared as a soloist in musical revues at Moonfall Theatre.
"I want to thank my parents for encouraging me, believing in me, cheering me, on and always being there for me. I don't know what I'd do without them. Also my family and many of my friends who have been a great support to me. I want to thank Dobie Long, my voice teacher and Andy Thomas, my choir director, who have both taught me a lot about singing, acting, and having an attitude of excellence. Most of all I want to thank my Heavenly Father for giving me my talent and a love for the stage."

LESLEY JOHNSON
(Maud Dunlop)Lesley was born in Long Beach, California, and currently lives in Salem where she is a second grade teacher at Yoshikai Elementary School. Other roles include Clariee in Steel Magnolias, Sadie Thompson in Rain, and Lady Sneerwell in School for Scandal.

RUBY SUE WHITTLEY
(Alma Hix)Ruby Sue currently lives in Salem where she is a science teacher at Waldo Middle School, home of The Mustangs. She was born in Hobbs, New Mexico. This is her stage debut and, according to her, "a dream realized." Her greatest hope: to avoid falling into the orchestra pit.

JOAN VEJLUPEK MANUEL
(Mrs. Britt)Joan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from South Salem High School, and lived in Alaska for 37 years where she raised a family, taught elementary school and community college courses, was in business, and did volunteer work. She moved back to Salem four years ago to care for her parents. She is currently singing with the "Just for Fun Singers," taking courses at Chemeketa, and volunteering with Hospice and the Senior Peer Counseling program.
According to Joan: "My very first experience performing was this February when our church did a bistro I choreographed and sang one number, Hello Dolly, with 9 men. I'm now hooked--on theater."
"I would like to dedicate my performance to my deceased parents, who never knew I had it in me. Special thanks to Marianne Ort, choir director, who gently encouraged Hello Dolly, and to Judy Dyer who was willing to take a chance on me in The Music Man."

BOB MYER
(Jacey Squires)Bob was born in Eureka, California, and currently lives in Monmouth. He is a private contractor and is currently with Marion County Juvenile/Alternative Programs. He has performed in several plays and cantatas in high school and at church, his favorite role being that of John the Baptist.
"I would like to thank my wife and daughter for their support and understanding. I would also like to thank Jane Landes for all of her encouragement I also would like to thank all the music directors in The Music Man staff for never letting me give up and for stretching me beyond my comfort zone. And thanks, Ted, for your direction and encouragement. It has been a real pleasure to be involved in something of this proportion and magnitude--a dream and a goal fulfilled."
DAVE RAINES
(Oliver Hix)Dave was born in, of all places, Webster City, Iowa, and is currently serving as one of the pastors at Woodburn United Methodist Church. Favorite roles include Applegate in Damn Yankees and Harold Hill in The Music Man.
Thanks to my wife, Kathy, who has been inconvenienced incredibly over the years by my stage habit, yet continues to say 'I think you should do this one.' I don't understand it, but I'm grateful. It has been great fun to introduce my children, Kevin and Becky, to theater performance.

(Olin Britt)Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, David now lives in Salem where he is studying music education at Chemeketa. He is currently employed at Winco Foods in Salem. David has also been seen locally in Grease in the role of Kenickie.

MARTIN FOGARTY
(Constable Locke, Train Passenger)Martin lives in Keizer and is currently taking college transfer classes at Chemeketa. He is a veteran of Chemeketa theater, having appeared in The Diary of Anne Frank (as Mr. Dussel), Much Ado About Nothing (as Don Pedro), Our Town (as The Stage Manager), and Mother and I (as Joe). He has also performed at Pentacle Theatre, Willamette University, Gallery Theater, and The Gilbert House.

SARAH STRONG
(Mrs. Locke)Sarah is a native of Salem and is currently taking classes at Chemeketa to transfer for a degree in music. She is currently working at SAIF Corporation as an office clerk. She has performed in the chorus and done make-up in the Salem Savoyards production of HMS Pinafore and has worked behind the scenes with Dayspring Fellowship doing make-up for various productions.

MALENE PETERSON
(Gracie Shinn)Malene is a native Salemite and is currently taking classes at Chemeketa Community College. She was most recently seen in Chemeketa's production of The Diary of Anne Frank and has also appeared as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and as Mrs. Lauderbee in The Perfect Idiot.
"I would like to thank my bestest friends, Scott Braucht and Amy Rodgers, and Kari, Jerry, Mom, and Dad for always being supportive of (and many times being part of) any creative outbursts I ever had. JERRY M. BULL
(Quartet Swing, Train Passenger, Townsperson, Rehearsal Pianist)Jerry currently lives in Salem and works at the Salem Target store as a Team Leader. This is his first show after an eight year absence from the stage. He has performed, directed, and served as an accompanist for a number of productions, including Godspell, The Pirates of Penzance, A Comedy of Errors, Much Ado About Nothing, Arsenic and Old Lace, Romeo and Juliet, Nunsense, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (as composer/lyricist).

MAT GENUSER
(Train Passenger, Dancer, Kid, Harold Hill Understudy)Originally from California, Mat now lives in Keizer and works as a sign language interpreter at Chemeketa. He completed a six-month run with Tony and Tina's Wedding in Portland in April and is a veteran of professional and community theater. He toured with Troy Donahue in the 1998 production of Bye Bye Birdie and has also appeared in productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Grease, Damn Yankees, Anything Goes, Lady Be Good, and the Disney revue When You Wish Upon a Star.

(Townsperson)Originally from South Dakota, this is Pam's first show since performing in high school in Arsenic and Old Lace and as a Pick-A-Little Lady in The Music Man.

(Townsperson)Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Matt is pleased that The Music Man marks his theatrical debut. He is currently working toward a transfer degree at Chemeketa and plans to pursue a career in education. He is a sergeant in the National Guard and also works as at Chang's Mongolian Grill and at the Salem Costco.

(Dancer, Kid)Heather is originally from Dallas, Oregon and currently resides in Salem where she is a student at Chemeketa majoring in exercise science. She works at Apollo Fitness Center as a fitness instructor and personal trainer.

(Dancer, Kid)Born in Edmonds, Washington, this is Tina's theatrical debut. She currently lives in Salem where she attends Chemeketa Community College as an education major and works as part of the college's Trio Mentor Program.

KENTON POPOVICH
(Barney Hix, Dancer)Kenton is originally from San Diego, California, and is currently a student at Howard Street Charter School in Salem. Kenton has been seen as a member of the children's chorus in the Portland Opera's production of Tosca and locally in Trial by Jury with the Salem Savoyards. He has been a member of the Salem Boys Choir for four years.

BROOKE MUNOZ
(Dancer, Kid)Brooke is currently attending Judson Middle School in Salem where she is also involved in theater (she is currently in rehearsal for Snow White). She has also been seen as a chorus member in La Boheme and Carmen at the Rogue Valley Opera in Medford.
"I would like to thank my family for the love and support they have always given me. In particular I would like to thank my mom for always being there for me, and being my own personal chauffeur. AUTUMN COOK
(Dancer, Kid)Autumn, an elementary education student at Chemeketa, was born in San Jose, California and currently lives in Silverton. She works at Safeway and also teaches dance at Silverton Ballet. Autumn has been seen in ballets including The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, and Les Sylphides and also in Cinderella (as a Step Sister) and Oklahoma! (as a dancer).

ROBBIE GRISWOLD
(Child)Robbie was born in Seoul, South Korea and now lives in, as he puts it, "the little town of Mehama." He is currently a student at Mari-Linn School in Lyons where is is active in sports and music.
Robbie's previous theater experience: "I was in Rumplestiltskin. I was a busy little bee. The show was put on by Missoula Children's Theater. I got to shake my bum at the crowd as I buzzed around the princess! Yeah!"
"I would like to thank my mom for driving the extra miles to allow me to be in The Music Man. I'd also like to thank my music teacher, Ms. Alexander, for putting up with my wacky schedule and switching the school band concert dates around so that I could show up to both the concert and opening night of the play. Thank you, everyone who has supported me!"
STACY JOHNSON
(Child)Stacey lives in Salem and is currently attending Chemeketa as a music and dance student. She also works as an Assistant Manager at Dairy Queen. She has also been seen as Bielka in Fiddler on the Roof at North Salem High School.
"I thank Bill Snyder for believing in me and giving me the chance to try. I thank Caren Jenson, for sparking my love of music. I thank Dick Dalzell for giving me the tools I need to make my dreams come true. I thank my mother for all of the love she gives me. My sisters are the best. (Child)Kevin was born in Greenfield, Iowa, and is currently attending Heritage Elementary School in Woodburn. The Music Man is his theatrical debut.
REBEKAH RAINES
(Child)Becky is currently attending first grade at Heritage Elementary School in Woodburn. This is her first stage role.
She has this to say about the show: " I really like being in The Music Man. I like being a child and I like what The Music Man is about. I think it's a lesson to kids not to lie."

THOMAS GOODWIN
(Linus Dunlop)Thomas is currently a third grader at Yoshikai Elementary School in Salem. This is his first performing experience. His hobbies include reading, playing video games and basketball. He's also been known to "shove a ball in a pocket" on a pool table in his spare time.
