TED DESEL
(Stage Director, Scenic Designer)
VERONICA GLUSTEIN
(Production Stage Manager, Makeup, Costume, and Set Crews)
"Vero" was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and now makes Salem her home. She is a student at Chemeketa and is taking college transfer courses toward her associate degree. In Oregon she has worked on productions of Our Town, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Diary of Anne Frank at Chemeketa; in Argentina she appeared in Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Sister Act.
"I'd like to thank my parents for giving me the chance to move to the US from Argentina, and being with me all the way, in everything I do. I also want to thank my boyfriend Jesse and his family for all the support and love they've given me as my second family in Oregon, and for which I'll never be able to thank them enough. I would like to thank Ted for being so understanding and patient with me in this and all the shows I've been in since I came to Chemeketa, and also for giving me the chance to prove myself by letting me take on the challenge of being the stage manager. And last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank my best friend in the whole world, my dear April. She's been the one to pull me through the hard times in and outside of theater, and gave me the support and confidence I needed to keep on going. I would not be here today if it weren't for all of you: I love you all!"

I am especially grateful to the many talented and enthusiastic performers I have been privileged to work with throughout my career. They are directly responsible for the love and satisfaction I get from my work. The directors, cast, and crew of The Music Man are the best example of this that I can recall."

"Loving, special thanks to my parents who have encouraged me in music since before I was born, who watched me start "conducting" before I could walk, who left the house when I was five to buy a piano for me to learn to play (after 3 years of begging) and came back home with a new car instead (who can blame them?), who have stood vigil through the darkest of nights to protect, guide, and love their family. To Peter, Flossie, Jerry, Clemente, Ellie, and Lee for helping me get on the right track, Ruby Sue for steering me back to that track, and my loving relatives, superb teachers, wonderful students, and colleagues--heartfelt thanks."
