The Taming of the Shrew
Cast Area

Special Announcements:

Dear Cast:

Congratulations on an incredibly successful run! The feedback we have gotten on the concept and on your performances has been overwhelmingly positive. The audience loved it, and many who rarely go to the theatre were impressed and touched. Thank you for working so hard to make the show sharp, clear, funny and unique.

Please review the TA130/230 syllabus linked to this site and note that the narrative journal is worth 20%. If that is not turned in, you are looking at a B. The journal is due no later than Saturday Feb 12. Late journals will be marked down. The paper (due only if you are taking the course for more than one credit) is worth 10%. It is due no later than Friday, February 25. Shortly after that your grades will be posted. Deliver papers to Kathryn Bennett's box in Building 1. Do not email papers: they will not be accepted.

Bonus points will be awarded to students who were especially diligent about attending rehearsal, being on time, applying notes, and having a committed, positive spirit. In other words: most of you. Bonus points up to 50 points will also be given for a brief 1-page paper (2-3 paragraphs) consisting of your reaction to the movie "Coach Carter." (Do not describe the plot--just give your reaction to the story and its message). Type and double-space the paper. It is also due by Friday, February 25.

You made the crew and the director laugh on closing night despite many months of watching the play. This is a tribute to Shakespeare's script and your fantastically funny and moving interpretation of his characters.

The date of the cast party will be set in stone shortly. Please check this site during the week for an update.

With much love and deep appreciation,
The Director
