Chemeketa Scholars
 

There are significant changes to Chemeketa Scholars eligibility. Read all information carefully.

Chemeketa Scholars may receive a full tuition scholarship for up to two years. The scholarship is awarded to applicants who meet the following criteria.

Eligibility Requirements for High School Students
  • Attend high school in Chemeketa’s district or reside within Chemeketa's district
  • Earn a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or better (as of first semester/quarter grades of final year in high school)
  • Earn minimum COMPASS placement test scores of 80 in Reading and 64 in Writing; a minimum math score is not required (although you must take the math placement test)*
  • Be on track to earn a regular high school diploma
  • Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa starting the fall term that immediately follows high school graduation

       How to apply

Eligibility Requirements for Home-schooled Students
  • Reside within Chemeketa’s district
  • Earn ACT composite score of 27 or SAT Reasoning Test combined score of 1200 in Critical Reading and Math
  • Earn minimum COMPASS placement test scores of 80 in Reading and 64 in Writing; a minimum math score is not required (although you must take the math placement test)*
  • Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa starting the fall term immediately after completing high school requirements

       How to apply

Eligibility Requirements for Military Veterans
  • Meet the minimum program requirements above for either high school students or home-schooled students
  • Joined the military within three months of graduating from high school or completing high school requirements
  • Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa within one year of military discharge

* SAT/ACT substitutions are not allowed in lieu of placement tests.
