Some files are so big they would be difficult or impossible to
send over the Internet as e-mail attachments. For that reason, files
are sometimes compressed by the sender and decompressed by the receiver.
It requires software to decompress files.
StuffIt allows both Macintosh and Windows computers
to expand and decode files you download from the Web or receive
in your e-mail.
