Getting Started

Chemeketa classes are using computers and the Internet to give you new ways to learn and access information.

For example, class materials, such as lecture notes, may be posted to a class website for review and study following classes. The course syllabus, which gives vital information about course content, assignments and instructor’s expectations, may also be available via the Internet. Sometimes the only means for you to access these materials may be on the Internet. It’s also more common to do research on the Internet or to take a test online for a class.

However, if you don’t have a computer or access to the Internet in your home, you can use a computer at Chemeketa's computer labs and library on the Salem campus or at the computer labs on the Woodburn, McMinnville and Santiam campuses or the Capitol and Dallas centers. There is no charge for using the labs, however there may be a charge for printing copies. You can contact each campus directly to find out about open lab hours.
