A. How to get started:
You must do the following in order to make appointments to take GED exams:
- Pay $115 for GED testing at Enrollment Services located in Building 2, second floor. Their hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Payment must be made prior to registration.
PLEASE NOTE THAT GED PAYMENTS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE
- Attend a Registration Session: Bring the receipt from Enrollment Services AND Proper ID*
to one of the GED Registration Sessions:

CURRENT government issued photo ID:
Government Issued ID must show birth date, address, and signature
(Example: Driver’s License/Permit, DMV ID Card, military ID, or passport)
- If you are 16 or 17 years of age:
You must submit a Chemeketa Community College Underage Consent Form.
This form must be signed by:
- Student
- Parent or Guardian
- School Administrator: If you are home schooled, please contact Testing Services
GED REGISTRATION
Examinees must attend a registration session before testing.
Registration sessions last about 1 hour
Monday at 8:45 am or Monday at 4:45 pm
You must bring photo ID (Government Issued) and receipt of payment and (consent form: if applicable) to the registration session.
If you are an Options School Student, you must have:
- Purple Bubble Sheet, and
- Underage Consent form
B. How to make appointments for GED Tests:
- You must make an appointment for each test. After attending a registration session, call
503.399.6556 or drop by Testing Services Building 2 or email: testing@chemeketa.edu
NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED IN THE TESTING ROOM
(IF YOU ARE FOUND TO HAVE A CELL PHONE IN THE TESTING ROOM YOUR TEST WILL BE VOIDED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE FOR ANOTHER DATE)
- TESTING SCHEDULE:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, TUESDAY of each month
3nd, SATURDAY of each month
You must be present 15 minutes early. Late examinees are not accepted into testing.
9:00 am – Writing (expected arrival 8:45)
11:30 am – Math (expected arrival 11:15)
2: 00 pm – Science (expected arrival 1:45)
4:00 pm – Social Studies (expected arrival 3:45)
5:30 pm – Reading (expected arrival 5:15)
ENGLISH TIMING SPANISH TIMING
Writing test – timed at 120 minutes Writing test – timed at 125 minutes
Math test – timed at 90 minutes Math test – timed at 100 minutes
Science test – timed at 80 minutes Science test – timed at 85 minutes
Social Studies test – timed at 70 minutes Social Studies – timed 75 minutes
Reading test – timed at 65 minutes Reading – timed at 70 minutes
There is a $15 fee for each retest.
- Payment must be made in Testing Services at the start of each exam.
- Only exact cash or check: payable to CCC are accepted.

C. How to get your scores:
You may access your scores on the web at www.GED123.org using the access code you will receive from Testing Services after
your first test, or you can drop by the testing center with photo ID. To ensure your privacy scores cannot be given over the phone.
D. How to prepare for the tests:
GED Preparation Classes: Building 20A, phone number 503.399.5224.
Anyone 16 or 17 years of age must have an “Underage Student Consent Form” from high school.
