Welcome to Disability Services!
At Disability Services, we determine eligibility and help implement reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
The Disability Services office allows students to maximize their opportunity for educational success and personal growth in college programs. Designed to promote independence and equal access to all classroom and college related activities, these services include:
- intake
- advising
- notetaking, writing, and reading/taping support
- sign language, oral interpreting
- test proctoring
- adaptive technology
- registration assistance
- resource and referral information
Students with disabilities wishing services and /or accommodations are required to register with the Disability Services Office. Appointments are necessary for all services. Early contact is advised, as late requests may result in a delay of service.

Disability Services strives to provide equal access for students to support them in achieving their academic potential and to coordinate institutional efforts to comply with the broad mandates expressed in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
The disabilities specialist in Building 2 on the Salem Campus can provide information about academic accommodations for course work and testing, access to facilities, help with the registration process, taped textbooks, and note taking assistance.
Major buildings on the Salem Campus and at the Dallas, McMinnville, Santiam, and Woodburn campuses are designed to provide access for students with physical disabilities. Parking spaces are reserved for persons with handicap parking permits. Temporary permits are available from the Information and Public Safety Booth in front of the main entrance to Building 2.
Students with disabilities may be eligible for additional services through TRiO Disabilities Student Support Services.
