TRiO Disabilities Student Support Services
This program is designed to provide vital academic support services for students with disabilities in their quest to successfully complete a post-secondary education program at Chemeketa.
The support available through this federal grant supplements accommodations provided by our Disabilities Services.
Academic Support Services Include:
- Individualized Appointment Based Tutoring
- University Mentors
- Individualized Planning and Support
- College Success Classes
- Scholarships
- Technology Assistance and Training
- Intervention and Referral
- Lending Library
- Workshops
- Holistic Learning Communities
Integrated Services Include:
- DanceAbility Ensemble
- Field Trips to Four-Year Institutions
- Cultural Events
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled at Chemeketa
- Have documentation of a disability
- Be officially enrolled in an academic program at Chemeketa and/or be in the process of completing the AAOT degree with plans to transfer to a four-year college/university.
- Be a U.S. citizen or meet requirements for federal student financial assistance.
Preference will be given to students who, by federal guidelines, qualify as economically disadvantaged.
