College Assistance Migrant Program
The program provides first-year college students with both financial assistance and support services with the goal of preparing them to continue their education at a four-year college or university.
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have worked
at least 75 days within the last two years as a migrant or seasonal
farmworker. This includes any activity directly related to the production
of crops, dairy products, poultry or livestock; the cultivation or harvesting
of trees including nursery and forestry work; or fish farm work.
or
Currently participating or have participated in a Migrant Education Program (MEP) during any of your school grade levels (K-12).
or
Currently participating or have participated in a National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) of Section 167 of the WIA. - Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Plan to attend Chemeketa Community College full-time (at least 12 credit hours per term.)
- Demonstrate financial need according to federal income guidelines.
- Be eligible to apply for federal financial aid (FAFSA.)
- Be in the first-year of college undergraduate studies.

- Tutoring/Mentoring
- Academic advising
- Personal counseling
- Career counseling
- Book assistance
- Health resources
- Monthly stipend
- University visits
