College Access Programs
What are the College Access Programs?
The College Access Programs Department consists of four federally-funded grant programs. The programs in the department include the College Assistance Migrant Program, TRiO Talent Search, TRiO Upward Bound and TRiO Student Support Services. Meet your staff here.
What is TRiO?
TRiO is an educational opportunity for low-income, first generation and disabled students. TRiO was established with the passage of Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. The goal of TRiO is to assist students to overcome financial, class, social and cultural barriers to higher education. Once in college, TRiO assists them so that they can earn a college degree. Find out more about TRiO on our College Access Programs' resource page.
What is CAMP?
We are a federally funded program that provides educational assistance to students who have a migrant or seasonal farmworker background in their family histories. The program provides first-year college students with both financial assistance and support services, with the goal of preparing them to continue their education at a four-year college or university.
