Upcoming Transcripting Changes:

Chemeketa Community College will be transcripting and moving into Academic History all Credit (including lab and recitation), Non-Credit, Chemeketa/Winema High School, Continuing Education Unit (CEU), and Developmental Education level course work.  You will be able to request copies of your Non-Credit, Chemeketa/Winema High School, Continuing Education Unit (CEU), and Developmental Education level transcripts in addition to your credit level transcript.  Below please find a summary of changes that will soon take place.

Credit Transcript The change to the credit transcripts will be that all parts of a linked class (ie. lecture/lab or lecture/lab/recitation) will now appear with a grade.  The lecture will have credits associated with it and the lab/recitation will not.  Lab/recitation grades will not affect the GPA.
Non-Credit Transcript 'NC' grade will be issued for all non-credit level classes.
Chemeketa/Winema High School Transcript 'HSC' grades will be issued for all high school level classes previously not graded.
Continuting Education Units (CEU) transcript 'CEU' grade will be issued for CEU level classes when a student receives CEUs. We will convert old CEU grades ('P', 'U', 'N', 'I') to this new ‘CEU’ grade.  'NOCEU’ grade will be issued for CEU level classes for which students did not wish to receive CEUs.
Developmental Education Transcript

'ABEGED’ grade will be issued for ABE and GED developmental education level classes. 'ESL’ grade will be issued for ESL developmental education level classes.

Provided Services

Maintenance of your "official" academic record. Your "official" academic record includes enrollment in courses, courses dropped, grades, grade changes, transcript evaluations, graduation information, and your permanent grade history (transcript).

Issuance of your Chemeketa official transcript. You may obtain an "official" copy of your Chemeketa transcript by paying a $5 fee for each transcript requested. Requests for transcripts to be mailed will be processed within four to seven business days. If you request the transcript to be faxed, there is an additional $5 fee. If you request the transcript to be rushed, there is an additional $10 fee. You may order your transcript by several different methods:

In person. Stop by the office and fill out a Transcript Request Form indicating whether you would like to pick up the transcript or have it mailed. If you wish to pick up the transcript, turn in the form and fee by 10 a.m. and the transcript will be available after 11 a.m. or by 2 p.m. for pickup at 3 p.m. To pick up the transcript, you will need to bring a picture ID, such as a driver's license or student ID card.

By mail. Send your fee to the address below with the following information:

Full name, including previous names used while attending Chemeketa, Social Security number or Student ID number, daytime phone number, and date of birth. Please tell us where you would like the transcript sent and be sure to sign your letter.

By fax. Requests received by fax are handled the same as if received by mail so please include the same information as "By mail" above. However, please include your VISA or MasterCard credit card number and expiration date. Our fax number is 503-399-3918.

"Unofficial" transcripts may be viewed and printed from the web.

Maintenance of the registration system. You may enroll in almost all classes using our web registration system. To be eligible to enroll using this system, you must be continuing, re-entering, or admitted student.

A "continuing" student is any student who has taken a Chemeketa class within the past year.

An "admitted" student is someone who has never attended Chemeketa, or who has not attended within the last year, and has submitted a Student Record Form to the Admissions Office.

Other ways to enroll are to attend the first class or register in person during the first week of each term either on campus or at any of the outreach campuses. However, due to our high volume of web registration, we recommend you use My Chemeketa to ensure your best opportunity to obtain a seat in the class.

If you need further information about services in the Registrar's Office, please call 503-399-5001 or you may reach us by e-mail. Our mailing address is Registrar's Office, Chemeketa Community College, P.O. Box 14007, Salem, OR 97309-7070.

Chemeketa complies with all state and federal requirements regarding the confidentiality of student records. In general, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1968 prohibits us from releasing information to anyone other than the identified student without the written release of that student. Questions regarding this policy may be directed to the Registrar's Office.
