Chapter 35

Entitlement
45 months

Delimiting Date
8 to 10 years, contact Veteran’s Services.

Processing time
Initial application and certification- 90 to 120 days Continuing certification- 30 to 45 days.

Chapter 35 is the Educational Assistance paid to survivors and dependents of eligible veterans. To be eligible you must be a spouse and or child, or surviving spouse and or child of a veteran with a permanent and total service connected disability; or whose death was service connected or who died of any cause while rated as having a permanent and total service connected disability. Upon application the Veterans Administration will verify eligibility.
