Monthly Verification of Enrollment

You may begin verifying your enrollment the last calendar day of the month.

Important: All students receiving the Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty Chapter 30, or Selected Reserve Chapter 1606, MUST verify enrollment monthly to receive payments. This verification can be done either by using the Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) application or by using an automated telephone system (IVR), 1-877-823-2378, and following the prompts. Remember that you cannot be paid for a month until the month is over and you verify that you were still in attendance for that month. The WAVE and IVR systems require at least three workdays to process and update the system. Both systems process data every workday, but it sometimes takes additional time before they are updated to reflect the new information.

How do the systems work?

WAVE: Point your Internet browser to our web site: http://www.gibill.va.gov and follow the link to the WAVE program. Instructions are provided on-line. IVR - Just dial 1-877-823-2378 and follow the instructions provided.
