Student Labs

A variety of labs are available to you to give you access to technology and assistance in your learning. Among the student labs are:

Computer Lab

The Student Computer Lab is located in Building 6, Room 218 and is an open lab available to all current Chemeketa students. This lab runs the Windows operating system and many common software applications. Instructional assistants are available to help you with the software applications. Office phone number is 503-399-5237.

Open lab hours for Fall, Winter & Spring terms:
Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (begins 2nd week of term)

Open lab hours for Summer term:
Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Learning Resource Center (Library) is located in Building 9 and has computers available for general use. There are other labs on campus for specific curriculums.

Language Lab

If you are registered in a foreign language class, ESL class, or English as a non-native language class, you may use one of the 20 individual listening booths that play lessons and record students' responses. The Language Lab is located in building 3, room 257. Contact person is Jelka Roelofs, ext. 5290.

Learning Assistance & Skills Development

This lab primarily offers assistance to reading and skills development classes. Other services available to you include grammar, math, and vocabulary practice on computers, learning styles analysis, and test anxiety reduction. The Learning Assistance & Skills Development lab is located in building 2, room 212. Contact person is Leanne Barron, ext. 5162.

Business Technology lab

The Business Technology lab is located in building 3, room 268. It is no longer an open entry, open exit lab. It is only for students enrolled in Business Technology classes.
