Human Resources
Part-Time Faculty Opportunities
Qualifications
Generally speaking, most college level transfer courses require a faculty member to hold a Master's degree in the subject area / closely related area, or a Master's degree with a core of 24-30 graduate credits in the subject area or related areas. Most professional technical college level courses require a faculty member to hold either a Master's degree in the field / related field, or a combination of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and work experience in the field. Non-credit courses requirements are more flexible, and are taught by faculty members uniquely qualified to provide instruction in the subject area.
Application Process
To apply, submit the following to the Human Resources Department: the Chemeketa general application, adjunct supplemental form, transcripts (unofficial or photocopied transcripts are acceptable) and/or documentation of competency (licenses, certifications, awards or other information that verifies your ability to teach). Once received, applications will be considered for qualified adjunct openings for one year.
