Position Overview

Working as a member of a support team, be responsible for design of CCRLS web site (creation and publication of web based information for public and library partner use); customization and maintenance of Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and integration with other automated library services; secondary support of library automation, mail, and other systems.

Terms of Employment

100 percent, 12-month annualized assignment.  Continuation of the position is dependent on the funding that supports the position. 

Salary and Benefits

Classified salary schedule, Range B-3, $2,822.00/month.

Minimum Qualifications

A combination of four years of related education from an accredited institution, training or experience in the field of web services; OR any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: computers and applicable software applications; networking principles and techniques; operating systems; database management and/or administration principles; network server and/or workstation principles; applicable programming principles and/or languages; web page/site creation tools; web interface tools and web programming languages.

Skill in: the use of web page/site creation tools, content management systems, web interface tools and web programming languages (i.e. HTML, CSS, and Java script). Ability to interact effectively with students, staff and the public; effectively manage time, prioritize work and multi-task to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work as part of a team and resolve problems constructively. Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or two years of college-level course work with a concentration in computer applications, web development, library automation systems or information technology; experience with Innovative Interfaces Library Automation Systems; experience with Plone Content Management System; two years experience working with web-based applications or systems.
