Tips for Serving Customers with Cerebral Palsy
*Treat the person as a whole person who happens to have some physical limitations.
*Do not Make Assumptions
*Do not assume that they cannot do a particular task or occupation.
*Limps or speech difficulties are not a symptom of lower intelligence or functionality. Again, do not make assumptions about capabilities.
*Be patient
*If the person has a speech impediment, please do not finish their sentences.
*Be Courteous
*Do not stare or make unnecessary comments about differences.
