Marion County

Salem-Keizer Transit District (Cherriots)

Fixed routes throughout Salem and Keizer with connections through C.A.R.T.S. to outlying cities (see information below for other counties). Go to cherriots.org for more information on routes and schedules.

For regular Transit Assistance or for travel training in the tri-county region (Marion, Polk and Yamhill) please call (503) 588-2424. Also ask about the Rideshare and the Emergency Ride Home programs.

Cherrylift (for seniors and disabled) Operates between 6:15 a.m. and 9:35 p.m. weekdays and Saturday 7:45 to 9:35 in the Salem-Keizer areas.

C.A.R.T.S. provides service in 19 cities in Marion and Polk counties to the general public, as well as senior citizens and people with disabilities who need access to medical services and employment, educational, shopping and recreational opportunities.  C.A.R.T.S. buses operate Monday through Friday. Buses will not operate on the following Holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

YCAP DIAL-A-RIDE

All towns within the county can be serviced by the YCAP except for the cities of Newberg & Dundee. Reservations are mandatory 24 hours in advance, please call (503) 472-0457 Ext. 22

Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Chehalem Valley Transit

Serving Newberg, Dundee, Dayton & St. Paul. For more information or to schedule your Dial-A-Ride please call the Chehalem Valley Senior Citizens Council (CVSCC) at  (503) 538-7433 We service Dial-a-rides between Yamhill, Carlton & Newberg Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Volunteer Medical Transport (VMT)

Service provided by YCAP for transporting residents to medical appointments in the Portland area. Contact YCAP (503) 472-0457 Ext. 122 or call toll free (800) 945-9992 Ext.22. The van only operates Monday thru Thursday.

Wilsonville

SMART provides fixed-route service within the City of Wilsonville and operates connecting service to Canby, Salem, and the south end of Portland. SMART also provides Dial-a-Ride services within the  Wilsonville area, and transportation to medical appointments in Portland and other nearby cities for Wilsonville seniors and people with disabilities. There is no charge for any of the services inside of the City of Wilsonville. All intercity services charge a fare. For more information call (503) 682-7790 or visit: SMART
