Chemeketa Diversity Training & Resources

The Diversity and Equity Office respond to general and specific departmental and program requests for diversity and equity related trainings and can create curriculum for specific needs.

Cultural Competence Employee Development Certificate

The Cultural Competence Certificate Program provides recognition for Chemeketa employees who engage in cultural awareness professional development. The activities under this program promote awareness of self and others, while building skills to respond effectively to people from all cultures, economic statuses, language backgrounds, races, ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, religions, genders, gender identifications, sexual orientations, veteran statuses and other characteristics in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values their worth, and preserves the dignity of individuals, families and communities.

Difference, Power and Responsibility (DPR)

Difference, Power and Responsibility (DPR) courses provide a framework within which students develop a critical consciousness of issues of difference and power in the United States.

Inclusive Hiring Best Practices

Workshop facilitated by the Diversity & Equity Office in partnership with Human Resources prior to position opening. Search committee members review the job announcement and the recruitment process through an equity lens.

Search Advocate

In partnership with OSU, Chemeketa offers regular trainings to sustain a pool of qualified individuals who serve in search committees to promote equity and inclusion in the hiring process.
