What You Will Learn at Winema
Due to regulations in relation to COVID-19, classes are taught in a remote format. Students participate in live virtual instruction by our professional and well-prepared instructors.
High School Completion - You will complete high school coursework with the benefits of being part of a college system. When you complete the Winema High School completion program you will receive your high school diploma. Winema will provide you with a fresh new environment, socially and academically. The schedule runs on a 2 block system per term. Each block includes 16 days of instruction with a 5 day break in between. In one block a student can earn up to 1 credit (2 classes/.5 credits each).
HS GED Options - Chemeketa's GED program include the possibility to earn your GED certificate with individualized pacing in a college environment that will result in better job opportunities when you enter the workforce. You will work closely with faculty and staff to build your skills in preparation for the GED exams and future possibilities.
Upon completion of your GED through Chemeketa, you will also earn free college credits you can use to further your education. More information provided by our advisor.
Getting started –
- Must be between the ages of 16-20.
- If you are 21 or older, we have other options for you to complete high school or earn your GED
- Complete the program interest form - HSP Interest Form. If you have a copy of a current transcript, please e-mail it to highschool@chemeketa.edu
- If eligible to apply, an application and instructions will be sent to you via email
- Must be invited by an advisor and attend an online mandatory orientation (see dates below)
- Be approved for admission (information regarding sponsorship will be given)
- Begin classes (see term dates below)
