The Class of 2018 moves on

Joyce Park, Chemeketa's senior retiring faculty member (nursing) led the procession Friday, June 15 at the Oregon State pavilion.

Graduation 2018

Behind her were 660 students and 175 faculty and staff participating in Chemeketa's 62nd commencement.

President Julie Huckestein told the audience, "Education is life-changing if you allow it to be." Huckestein added, "Remember you are graduating from Chemeketa, a place of peace. We need peace now more than ever in this world."

One of the students featured in the graduation video, Chelsea Spanbauer, AAS, Winemaking said of her experience at Chemeketa, "I found myself. I found a career path that I'm flourishing in. I found a home that I love. I found a place where I can take all my interests and grow them into business and a life that supports my happiness."
