Get ready for the next term by completing new student orientation.

Chemeketa offers new student orientation on campus and online.

Orientation on Campus

Join a group session at our Salem, Polk, Woodburn, or Yamhill Valley locations. We'll guide you through the enrollment process and walk you through every step to ensure you are ready for day one.

Your On-Campus Experience -

  • Advising & registration - Meet with an academic advisor to review your placement and register for classes
  • Paying for college - Get help with your financial aid steps and learn other ways to pay for college
  • Tech setup - Get set up with Chemeketa's technology and learn about the apps you'll need for school
  • Resources - Take a guided tour to learn about essential academic support services, resources, and how they can help you succeed
  • Shared support - Connect with students who share your goals and staff who will help you reach them

Can't make it in person? Complete our self-paced online orientation. Choose your starting term below, and click Begin the online orientation now to start your session. (If the term has already started and you're registering for late-start classes, please email Orientation for access.)

  • Starting Classes Summer or Fall 2026

    If you're starting classes in the Summer (June) or Fall (September) 2026, please complete the orientation.

    On-campus orientations have concluded for the fall term. Please complete the self-paced online orientation.

    Did you know you can complete your general education classes at our other locations? Individual orientation and advising are available—call to schedule an appointment.

    Online Orientation

    1. Log in with your Chemeketa username and password
    2. Complete 5 modules and quizzes (3 questions each). Score 100% on each to advance.
    3. Click the green button on the final page of Module 5 to release the orientation hold.
    4. Schedule your first-term advising appointment using the Navigate app or call your preferred Chemeketa location. Bring your placement results to the meeting.
  • Starting Classes Winter 2027

    If you're starting classes in Winter (January) 2027, check back in November 2026 to register for orientation.
