If you are 18 or older, you may earn a high school equivalency certificate by passing General Educational Development (GED) tests in English or Spanish. There are four tests covering language arts (writing and reading), social studies, science, and mathematics.

GED Preparation Classes at Polk Center
Fall 2019 GED preparation classes will run September 23 through December 7 at the Chemeketa Polk Center, 1340 SE Holman Ave., Dallas. Class meets Monday-Friday from 8:30-11:20am. Enrollment fee is $95 for fall term.
Students may be admitted into the GED program after a term has begun with instructor permission, but the class fee will not be prorated for a partial term. Call Nancy at 503.316.3242 for information about entering the GED program after the term has begun.
GED Intake/Orientation Sessions at Polk Center
Students who apply for GED preparation classes will be required to schedule a 3-1/2 hour intake/orientation session. During this session you will take assessment tests, learn about your scores, and go over next steps. You will need to bring your student ID number (K#) and a non-refundable $20 pre-assessment fee (cash or check only).
