Education Certificate Pathways

Chemeketa is excited to offer two new education certificates of completion.

The Career and Technical Educator Teacher Certificate provides the region's school districts and CTE teachers an avenue to complete the necessary training for a Restricted or Limited Conditional Assignment CTE License for K-12 teaching.

The Education Support Professional Certificate prepares students for employment as paraprofessionals in K-12 schools.

To apply for funding for either of these programs use the application link in the Apply Now box. Application is open during the registration period of each term.

For assistance or additional information contact the Education Program. We look forward to working with you to meet your goals to become an educator.

  • High School CTE Teacher

Chemeketa Community College offers a CTE certification program that aligns with the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) professional development requirements. This program serves industry experts seeking an Oregon Restricted or Preliminary Career and Technical Education (CTE) license for teaching in secondary CTE programs (middle and high school).

The certification program serves as a valuable resource for professional development among post-secondary CTE faculty and instructors. The certification program enhances teaching skills and develops advanced skills in providing effective instruction. Participants in this program earn a certificate that equips them with the educational foundations necessary for effective classroom and program management. The curriculum focuses on developing strategies that are essential for meeting the diverse needs of students, incorporating developmentally appropriate methods, and employing culturally competent instructional methods

Chemeketa’s CTE Teacher Certificate program can be completed in under one year and helps prepare students for licensure in all Oregon CTE Career Areas:
