Chemeketa Scholars Steps to Apply

Step 1

All Applicants

  1. Complete Chemeketa's admissions application
Make sure you indicate enrollment for fall 2021. You will receive information about your Chemeketa student identification number (K number) via email after completing the admission application. Even if you have previously taken Chemeketa courses or you are enrolled in College Credit Now, you must complete the admission application. You cannot proceed with the next step until this is completed.
  2. Complete Chemeketa's placement assessment in reading, writing and math
You can take the placement assessment after receiving your K number. We recommend you take the assessment soon to ensure you obtain the minimum scores required for eligibility. If needed, you can retake the assessment for a $15 fee. We also encourage you to review test taking tips. You will need to submit a copy of your printed scores as part of the Scholars application process. If you have completed Chemeketa college credit classes in high school, you still must have placement scores for reading, writing and math.

Complete the placement assessment by February.
