New students starting spring term

The Woodburn Center has remote classes to help you learn the skills you need to start an in-demand career. Our remote classes allow you to participate in live, scheduled class lectures and meetings from the comfort of your own home.

  • Academic Advising

    We provide academic advising via Zoom or Phone throughout the term on an appointment basis only. Academic advising is available as follows –


    • Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
    • Later appointments upon request.


    Schedule a phone appointment by calling 503.316.3260 or schedule online and follow the steps below:


    • Login to your My Chemeketa account
    • Click on the “Services” tab
    • Click on the “Advising” link
    • Click on the “Academic Advising” link under the location of your choice
    • Click on the "Next Term Advising" or "General Advising" buttons to view availability


  • Counseling

    Chemeketa offers free, confidential, short-term counseling services to currently enrolled students. Counselors assist students with academic, personal and career counseling and work with students to improve life skills, reduce anxiety and manage stress, choose a career and locate community resources.

    We have counselors that you can meet with by phone or via Zoom. You can schedule an appointment with a counselor for-


    • Personal support
    • Career counseling
    • Crisis counseling
    • Help with identifying barriers to success
    • Referrals to off-campus resources

  • Chemeketa WORKS Internships

    No doubt you've heard a lot about internships these days as businesses are eager to grow their own talent pipeline. 

    There are a variety of businesses in the Woodburn area that have opportunities for you to do an internship. This is a great way to jump-start your career with valuable work experience to build your resume and compete in the job market.

    TRiO programs are for first-generation, low-income or disabled students and is made up of three federally funded programs –

    • Talent Search
    • Upward Bound
    • Student Support Services/Disability Support Services

    College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

    CAMP assists students whose families are from a migrant or seasonal farmworker background. Learn more about the CAMP program.

    High School Equivalency Program (HEP)

    HEP is a federally-funded program to help seasonal farmworkers obtain a GED certificate. Learn more about the HEP program.


  • Parking Permits

    Parking permits are not required for students attending classes at the Woodburn Center. If you are attending classes at Salem Campus as well, you must purchase a Salem Campus parking permit in My Chemeketa or at the Public Safety office at Salem Campus in Bldg. 2.

  • Bookstore

    The bookstore on the Salem campus is closed to the public and operating remotely. 

    Textbooks can be purchased online at the bookstore's website and they will be mailed to your house.

  • Chemeketa ID Cards

    Student identification cards are not available at this time, due to campus closure.

  • Tutoring Services

    Woodburn Tutoring Center will be closed for winter, spring & summer terms 2021. All services are available online at

  • Lending Library

    Lending library requests for spring term will begin March 16, 2021 for requests. Students that need the same books they already have can message the library to request a renewal.

  • Laptops

    For information about requesting or renewing a laptop go to the laptop page. You must be registered for the term you want to check out a laptop for. There is a limited quantity available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Irma Guzman or Daisy Arellano at 503.399.5213.

  • Calculators

    Calculators can be returned in the dropbox at any campus. Please contact your math instructor to make a request to check out a calculator from the library.

  • Testing Services

    Chemeketa Woodburn Center Testing Services is open and is proctoring exams, such as Pearson VUE Tests, including GED. See details below for registering for these exams.

    Please Note: No one other than the scheduled tester will be allowed on campus

    SAW is the official student organization for students of the Woodburn Center, focused on providing additional resources.

    You can also start a new student club at Chemeketa. You only need three interested students and a staff or faculty advisor. If you have questions about a club, or if you are interested in starting a club, please contact Joel Gisbert at the Salem Campus.


  • Student Leadership Program

    The Chemeketa Woodburn Center recruits five students a year to work on campus as office assistants, tutors or instructional assistants. Students who apply may qualify for work study or a tuition waiver depending on financial need.

  • Computer Lab

    The computer lab is currently closed. Please go to for updates.

  • Student Accessibility Services

    The Woodburn Center provides accessibility services for students that experience educational barriers due to a disability. Accommodations to address those barriers are determined through an individualized interactive process with Student Accessibility Services, and may include adaptive equipment for classrooms, alternative format class materials, testing accommodations, exam proctoring, and others that would comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act as amended in 2008 (ADAAA).
